Anne Louise was not real enthusiastic about youth fuctions…its a big group, she was the little kid, and she didn’t know many people who came on a regular basis. That is, until we started taking her to Youth Worship Arts. Debbie Peavy directs a choir of 100 or so 6th-12th graders who sing, mostly, but also dance and paint and act. Every summer they go on tour and to raise funds for that trip they put on a really fun dinner theatre at church. They’re going to San Antonio this year (and taking my BABY for 7 whole days without me!) so they had a good old fashioned hoe-down this year. I’m an incredibly grateful for the people who volunteer their time to make this kind of experience possible.
